See It Work — Before and After

Here are three of the 100+ tools, shown exactly as they happen in the sheet — each one a single click from the DOSE tab. They were picked simply because they are easy to show in a picture; the full list of every tool runs to nine ribbon groups.

Merge columns without losing data

Excel’s own Merge keeps the top-left value and silently discards everything else. Dose combines the values instead, so a first-name column and a last-name column become one full-name column with nothing lost.

Before: two separate columns of data in Excel, ready to be merged
becomes
After: both columns combined into a single column with every value preserved

Find and color duplicate values

Point at a range and Dose highlights every duplicate so you can see the problem before you decide what to delete — no conditional-formatting rules to build by hand.

Before: an Excel column containing repeated values with nothing highlighted
becomes
After: every duplicate value highlighted in color in the same column

Clean up inconsistent text

Imported data arrives in whatever case the source felt like. Change the case of an entire range in one pass — upper, lower, sentence or title case — along with trimming stray spaces and converting text to numbers.

Before: an Excel range with inconsistent upper and lower case text
becomes
After: the same range with consistent capitalization applied to every cell

Who Dose for Excel Is For

If your work involves a spreadsheet, Dose for Excel has something for you. It is used every day by accountants and bookkeepers, financial and data analysts, administrators and office managers, data-entry and back-office teams, warehouse and inventory staff, HR and payroll teams, teachers and researchers, engineers, small-business owners — and plenty of people whose job title has nothing to do with Excel but who still live in it half the week. You do not need to be an Excel expert, and you do not need to write a single formula or macro to get value from it on day one.

Dose for Excel vs. the Usual Workarounds

Most of these jobs can be done another way — by hand, with a formula you rebuild every time, or with a macro copied off a forum. Here is what changes when the tool is built in.

Why Excel Users Choose Dose for Excel

Excel is powerful, but the everyday jobs it doesn’t handle well are the ones that eat your afternoon — merging two columns without losing half the data, stripping invisible characters out of an imported list, finding what changed between last month’s sheet and this month’s, or turning a column of product codes into scannable barcodes. Dose for Excel is an Excel add-in that puts more than 100 of those jobs one click away, on a dedicated DOSE tab in your ribbon.

There is nothing to learn and no code to write. Every tool opens as a normal dialog or side pane: you select your cells, choose your options and click. Tools work across whole columns and whole sheets, show a live progress indicator, and let you press ESC to cancel a long run. Many include a backup-sheet option so you can apply a change to real data with a safety net in place.
